STAC SOFTBALL: LAMBERT DRIVES IN WINNING RUN IN 6TH AS ELMIRA EDGES JC, 1-0 (10 PHOTOS)(March 30, 2026) Southern Tier Sports Report ELMIRA — The Elmira softball team got a combined three-hitter, with 12 strikeouts from Madi Smith and Ava Cornacchio and Cate Lambert drove in the winning run in the 6th in a 1-0 victory over Johnson City.
Smith struck out 10, allowing three hits in six innings for the win. Cornacchio threw a perfect seventh inning, striking out two for the save.
iN the sixth Rylee Gonzalez got a hit and scored on Lambert’s game-winning hit.
