IAC CROSS COUNTRY: ND RUNNERS CAPTURE WINS AT DIVISIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP, EDISON RUNNERS HAVE STRONG DAY (October 7, 2026)

NEWARK VALLEY — Notre Dame’s Bella Clark and Gavin Meier brought home the titles at the IAC Divisional Championships. 

Clarke won the girls race in 21:11.3. Edison’s Emma Duggan was 13th in 24:56.8 followed by teammate Paisley Harnas (25:09.9)

Emma Rose Deats of Edison was 18th in 26:42.5 and Notre Dame’s Kaylin Moore was 20th in 26:45.5. Edison’s Natalie Spier was 24th in 27:09.6 and teammate Alex Stein was 33rd in 29:48.6 with teammate Parker Lincoln 35th in 31:49.9. 

For the girls Newark Valley won at 30, followed by Trumansburg (36), Lansing (76) and Edison (83). The other teams weren’t complete teams. 

In the boys race Lansing won at 56, with Watkins Glen second at 63. Edison was fifth at 129, followed by Notre Dame at 139. 

Meier won the boys race in 17:46.4 and Edison’s Aidan Stein was fifth in 19:43.5. Edison’s Jeremiah Hubschmitt was 13th in 20:15. Notre Dame’s Burke Hilgindorf was 24th in 21:12.1 and Edison’s Grayson Margeson was 34th in 22:04.4. Notre Dame’s Robert Sharp was 40th in 22:45.1 followed by teammate Johnny Piet in 22:45.9. Edison’s Ethan House was 43rd in 23:20.9. Edison’s Jeffrey Stone was 55th in 24:47 and Notre Dame’s Trevor Agan was 43rd in 25:14.2 followed by Edison’s Cyrus Bidwell (25:18.2) and Notre Dame’s Sergio Condo (25:24.8). Edison’s Jordan Elliott was 65th in 27:13.5 with Sawyer Burleigh of Edison 70th in 29:54.3. 

In the boys’ modified race Edison was third at 54 with Newark Valley winning at 29 points.

Kegan Hartwell of Edison was fourth in 10:35.4 and teammate Nathan Margeson was 12th in 11:13.7. Anthony Schillo of Edison was 14th in 11:28.6. Edison’s Colin Till was 25th in 13:32.6 followed by teammate Connor Stone (13:47.7). 

For the girls Newark Valley won at 27 points. Edison and Notre Dame didn’t have complete teams.

Notre Dame’s Avaya Schuchardt was third in 11:03.8 with Edison’s LaJuanah Theta 21st in 14:24.5 followed by teammate Ellie Baumgardner in 14:49.6.
