IAC BOYS' SOCCER: EDISON STARTS STRONG IN WIN OVER WATKINS GLEN (24 PHOTOS) (October 5, 2026)
Southern Tier Sports ReportELMIRA HEIGHTS — The Edison boys’ soccer team jumped out to a 3-0 lead on their way to a 5-2 victory over Watkins Glen on Monday afternoon.
Jacob Reynard, Camden Ferris, on a penalty kick, and Jasiah Greene scored the Edison goals.
Reynard and Ferris got goals in the first 20 minutes of the game as Edison started strong.
Brody O’Connell-Campbell scored twice late in the first half for Watkins Glen, making it 3-2 at the break.
Edison stepped up defensively in the second half, led by goalkeeper Nate Perez, who had 20 saves, along with center backs Cameron Southard, Alex Sternfels, and fullbacks Kayden Grover and Jacob Reynard.
Jasiah Greene scored again off an assist from Mason Vanderhoff and Luca Palmieri scored off a Sternfels corner kicks to cap the final score.
“What a great way to start off homecoming week with a win at home,” Edison coach Shawn Nugent said.
