STAC BOYS' SOCCER: CORNING FALLS AT ITHACA (October 5, 2026)
Southern Tier Sports ReportITHACA — The Corning boys’ soccer team went on the road and fell at Ithaca on Monday, 4-2.
Corning had 11 shots and seven corners and Ithaca headlight shots and a corner in the game.
Landyn Proudfoot and Cooper Sargent each had goals, with Sargent recording an assist.
Samuel Lima had two goals for Ithaca and Charles Leyden-Githler and Benjamin Susskind had goals.
Owen Donjon had one save and Brody Gordon had four saves for the Hawks. Joseph Barbash had eight saves for Ithaca.
“Tough outcome in a tough environment,” Corning coach Chad Freelove said. “A couple bounces didn’t go our way. The guys really dug deep and turned it into a close contest. Extremely proud of the character that the guys showed and endured throughout the match.”
