IAC GIRLS' SOCCER: EDISON FALLS TO LANSING (15 PHOTOS)(September 28, 2026) Southern Tier Sports Report ELMIRA HEIGHTS — Down 2-0 at the half, the Edison girls’ soccer team played an even second half, but fell to Lansing 4-2 on Monday afternoon.
Lansing scored at 2:42 and again at 18:57 off a corner kick.
Aurora Parlo scored at 49:20 of the second half off an Eliza Crandall assist to cut the deficit to 2-1.
Lansing scored off a free kick at 61:22 and a corner kick at 71:35 to go up 4-2.
Crandall scored at 76:26 to finish the scoring.
Bella Drake had a pair of goals for Lansing.
Lansing had 10 shots and eight corner kicks and Edison had seven shots and three corners.
Kaylynn Tarby had four saves for Edison and Nasia White had five saves for Lansing.
“We were a step slow for much of the first half, but I was very pleased with our effort and improved play in the second half,” Edison coach Kevin Weber said. “Unfortunately, their three set-piece goals proved to be the difference.
“Lansing is a strong and well-coached program; but I felt our girls stepped up and made the necessary adjustments to find themselves competing and controlling long stretches of play during the second half.” ——— PHOTOS BY STEVE EDGERLY.
