IAC VOLLEYBALL: EDISON RALLIES FOR WIN OVER NEWARK VALLEY (September 22, 2026)

ELMIRA HEIGHTS — The Edison volleyball team picked up a 3-1 win over Newark Valley on Tuesday night.

Newark Valley won the first set 25-13, before Edison won 25-21, 25-16, 25-22. 

Isabelle Guarnieri had five kills and four digs and Aveyah Nelson had eight assists and a kill.

Melania Cheplick had seven digs, eight kills and an ace and Kayla Rossi had 10 digs and three aces, while Claire Elston had a kill.

Taylor Burdick had a dig and Hailey Clark had four aces, two kills, a block and five digs and Rosie Wheeler had three aces, three kills, six digs and two assists.

Lyla Cowulich had eight assists, two digs and an ace and Eden Bethel had two digs. 

Edison won the JV match 25-21, 15-25, 25-17. 

Hannah Schlintl had six aces, nine kills, a block and four digs and Avian Aylesworth had three digs, three assists, a kill and an ace, while Haven Aylesworth had 13 digs, five kills and an assist.
