SECTION 4 CROSS COUNTRY: ND RUNNERS BOTH TAKE FIRST PLACE IN QUAD MEET (September 22, 2026)

ELMIRA — Notre Dame runners took first place in both the boys and girls races at Newton Battlefield on Tuesday afternoon. 

Notre Dame’s Bella Clarke dominated the girls race, winning by more than a minute and 20 seconds as she finished in 21:27.5. Madelyn Wise of Elmira led five straight Express runners, taking second in 22:50.9.

Molly Doran was next in 24:16.7, followed by Mallory Duffy (27:04.1), Ameera Mahmoud (27:08.3) and Annalyse Ferriter (27:17.6). 

Edison’s Emma Rose Deats was seventh in 28:59.4 followed by teammates Olivia Vinsek (29:33.3), Natalie Spier (31:38.3), Eva Mirando (31:38.3) and Alexa Stein (31:43.2).

Notre Dame’s Kaylin Moore was 12th in 32:16.8 followed by Elmira’s Ariana Walburn (32:38.8) and Aleah Mattei (35:43.4).

Elmira won with a team score of 15, Edison was next at 40. Notre Dame didn’t have a full team.

For the boys Gavin Meier of Notre Dame won in 17:54.5 followed by five straight Elmira runners, James Lovell (18:00.6), Noah Wilbur (18:51.9), Benjamin Hinman (19:47.8), Gianni Page (19:48.1) and Adam Loftus (20:40.6).

Burke Hilgendorf of Notre Dame was seventh in 20:46.1 followed by Edison’s Jeremiah Hubschmitt (20:46.6) and Elmira’s Wally Ferriter (20:52.8), Alex Barletta (21:00.4), Isaac Miller (21:06.2) and Braylon Clark (21:11.2). Aidan Stein of Edison was 13th in 21:36.6 followed by Candor’s Kelln Williamson (21:55.3) and Declan Shaw (21:55.6). Elmira’s Aaron Skinkle was next in 22:06.8 followed by teammate Garrett Palmieri (22:10.9), Orion Haltom of Candor (23:07.2), Ethan House of Edison (23:11.3) and Edison’s Ethan House (23:11.3). Jacob Kierst of Elmira was 20th in 23:34.1.

Chrystian Kinner of Elmira was 21st in 23:46.5 followed by teammate Karson Combs (24:17.9) and Edison’s Jeffrey Stone (25:09.2), Kyron O’Dell of Candor was 24th in 25:12 followed by teammate Avree Klick (25:173) and Elmira’s Triton Conklin (25:23.5). Trevor Egan of Notre Dame was 27th in 26:11.8 followed by Adam Baber of Candor (27:38.9), Elmira’s Ivan Miranda (27:57.2), Edison’s Sawyer Burleigh (28:46), Sergio Condo of Notre Dame (28:47.5), Jordan Elliot of Edison (29:25.8) and Aydin Butters of Elmira (33:08.1).

Elmira won at 15 points, followed by Edison at 60 and Candor at 64. Notre Dame didn’t have a full roster. 

For modified girls only Elmira had a full team. 

Notre Dame’s Avaya Schuchardt won in 10:28.9 followed by Elmira’s Kylie Young (11:15.9) and Candor’s Emma Baker (11:50.8), Stella Loftus of Elmira was fourth in 12:33.3 followed by Candor’s Ariana Bates (12:56.3) and Edison’s Ellie Baumgardner (13:57.4) and LaJuanah Thetga (14:09.8). Arabella Butters of Elmira was eighth in 15:28.1 followed by teammate Peyton Melveney (17:14.8), Lydia D’Angelo of Elmira (17:54.4), Candor’s Mackenzie Rosenberger (18:42.4) and Banquet Kaur of Elmira (19:54.2).

Edison was the only modified boys team with a full roster.

Elmira’s Brayden Andrews won in 9:17.4 followed by Edison’s Kegan Hartwell (9:27.5), Elmira’s Blake Decker (10:30.7) and Anthony Schillo (10:46.8), Nathan Margeson (10:47.9) and Colin Till (11:03.7) of Edison.

Elmira’s C. Owenburg was seventh in 11:26.4 followed by Edison’s Connor Stone (12:44.2), Candor’s Tyson Budlinger (13:11.8) and Elmira’s Alecksander Mallecoccio (17:10.2).
