EIGHT-MAN FOOTBALL: JENNINGS HAS TWO KICK RETURN SCORES, BUT ND FALLS TO DRYDEN (September 20, 2026)

SOUTHPORT — The Notre Dame football team had 18 points in the second quarter, but fell to Dryden 70-24 in eight-man football action on Saturday. 

Dryden had 12 points in the first, 30 in the second, 20 in the third and eight in the fourth.

After Dryden got out to a 28-0 lead Treshan Jenkins returned a kickoff 90 yards for a score for the Crusaders to make it 28-6.

Dryden went up 34-6 before Yunus Hussain hit Brenzel McLaurin on a 58-yard touchdown pass to make it 34-12.

Rdyen went up 42-12, before Hussain hit Dominic Caporiccio on a 53-yard touchdown to cut the deficit to 42-18.

In the third quarter Dryden was up 48-18 when Jennings had another kick return for a touchdown, this one a 60-yard return. 

Hussain was 4-for-11 for 119 yards and two scores, with McLaurin hauling in three passes for 66 yards and a score and Caporiccio catching the 53-yard touchdown. 

Caporiccio had 50 yards rushing on four carries and Luka Clark ran for 12 yards, while James Lincoln ran for 10 yards. 

Joe Oliver ran for 260 yards and two scores on 23 carries for Dryden and Trevor Stowell had 181 yards on 18 carries. Olivier also was 4-for-7 passing for 115 yards and three scores.
