SECTION 4 FOOTBALL: CORNING STARTS FAST IN WIN OVER BINGHAMTON (24 PHOTOS)(September 18, 2026) Southern Tier Sports Report CORNING — When Mikey Johnston took the opening kickoff back 80 yards to the house the Corning Hawks football team was off and running on their way to a 64-21 win over Binghamton.
Corning had scores in all three aspects of the game as they had the opening kickoff return, scored on offense and had two scoop and scores defensively.
Caleb McGee and Chase Neally both intercepted passes for the Hawks in the game. Elijah Rogers-Sampson and Keegan Kelly both had scoop and scores in the game. Neally also recovered a fumble in the game.
Jay Richards ran for 113 yards and two scores on 10 carries and Johnny Graham had 88 yards on seven carries, with a touchdown. Casey Hale ran for 72 yards on 10 carries in the game.
The Hawks ran for 283 yards on the day.
Bradley Rhodes had five tackles and Damon Vosburgh finished with four tackles.
