IAC VOLLEYBALL: EDISON RALLIES FOR WIN OVER GREENE (September 18, 2026)

ELMIRA HEIGHTS — After dropping the first set the Edison volleyball team rallied for a 3-1 win over Greene on Friday night. 

Groton won the first set 25-14, before the Spartans won 25-23, 25-8, 25-21. 

Isabelle Guarnieri had six digs, three kills and two aces and Aveyah Nelson had 11 assists, four digs and an ace.

Melania Cheplick had 10 digs, five kills and an ace and Kayla Rossi had eight digs.

Tayler Burdick had four digs and Claire Elston had a dig.

Hailey Clark had four kills, an ace and three digs and Rosie Wheeler had two kills and a dig. Lyla Cowulich had six assists, two kills and two digs and Eden Bethel had three digs, an ace and a kill.

Emma Nisbet had three aces, three kills and two blocks. 

Cecile Rose had 17 digs, five points, an assist and an ace for Greene and Aleah Myers had eight points, six aces, two kills, a block and seven digs. 

Groton won the JV match 25-18, 25-19, 8-25.
