STAC BOYS' SOCCER: CAPILLI'S GOAL THE DIFFERENCE AS ELMIRA BLANKS HORSEHEADS, 1-0 (24 PHOTOS)(September 14, 2026) Southern Tier Sports Report HORSEHEADS — The Elmira boys’ soccer team got a goal late in the first half and that was enough as they edged Horseheads 1-0 on Monday night.
Dom Capilli scored off a Brody Snyder assist and Hunter Grant had eight saves for his fourth clean sheet of the season.
Horseheads had eight shots on goal and Elmira had seven.
“Another great effort by our back four and goalkeeper to earn their fourth clean sheet of the season,” Elmira coach Derek Hamilton said. “We were able to switch some things around positionally and it worked to our advantage.
“Dom Capilli had a great touch in the box on a quality ball from Brody Snyder to score the match’s only goal.”
Sebastian Garcia had one save in goal for Horseheads.
