performance both on the mound and at the plate propelled the Raiders to

Boys Athlete of the Spring" honors.
Ball was 9-2 on the mound with a 0.89 ERA and 109 strikeouts in 71 innings of work.
At the plate, he hit .416 with 12 extra-base hits, 25 RBI, and 16 stolen bases.

Gavin Albrecht, Tioga track and field:
Albrecht earned his second straight gold at New York State track field.
He won the state title in the pole vault, and set a school record in
the event at the Section IV, Class C Championships.
Ronin Ault, Waverly baseball: Ault
went 9-0 with one save for the Wolverines, posting a 0.96 ERA with 73
strikeouts in 58 1/3-innings. At the plate he hit .506 with 10 doubles,
two triples, five home runs, 37 RBI, 35 runs scored, and 25 stolen
bases.
Nick Grazul, Athens baseball: Grazul hit .456
with seven doubles, one home run, 14 RBI, 25 runs scored, and 11 stolen
bases. On the mound, he went 18 innings with a 2.33 ERA and 38
strikeouts.
Brady Flynn, Athens baseball:
Flynn hit .478 with (31 hits in 67 ABs) with five doubles, one triple,
13 RBI, six stolen bases, and 24 runs scored. On the mound, Flynn was
5-2 with a 3.41 ERA. He struck out 18 and walked 21 in 26 2/3 innings of
work.
Lawrence Halbfoerster, Canton track & field: A district champion in the 3200, and a state qualifier in the 1600 - he set school records in those events along the way.
Brendan Gilliland, Troy baseball:
Gilliland hit .478 with 23 RBI, four doubles, and 31 runs scored for
the Trojans, while also sporting a 2.02 ERA from the mound with 20
strikeouts.
Bailey Poll, Towanda tennis: Poll went
undefeated during the regular season, and made it all the way to the
District IV Singles semifinals. He finished the season 13-1.
David Seeling, Wellsboro track & field:
Seeling was a state medalist as part of his team's 4-by-800 relay. He
just missed the state qualifying standards in the high jump (third
place), and the triple jump (fifth place), while earning NTL titles in
the 110- and 300-meter hurdles.
Luke Kreger, North Penn-Mansfield track & field:
Kreger was a state medalist in the high jump, placing eighth. He was
the NTL champion in the event, and was a runner-up in the long jump.
Marek Mascho, Wellsboro baseball: Mascho
hit .456 with 35 runs scored, 27 RBI, and eight stolen bases, while
going 3-1 on the mound with a 5.19 ERA and 22 strikeouts in 26 innings
of action.
Patrick Laney, Horseheads track & field: Laney
took third in the 100 in 10.87 seconds at the New York State
Championships, while he won the 200 title at the Section IV
Championships in 22.17.
Kohl Hogue, Corning lacrosse: Hogue had 65 goals and 42 assists this year for the Hawks, and was named a USA Lacrosse All-American.
Boe Briggs, Horseheads lacrosse:
Briggs was named a USA Lacrosse All-American as he led the Raiders to
their first sectional title in 10 years. He won 291 of 381 face-offs,
had 208 ground balls, 20 goals, and four assists.
