10U LITTLE LEAGUE BASEBALL: CPPLL RALLIES TO WIN SECTIONAL OPENER (24 PHOTOS) (July 11, 2026)

HORSEHEADS — Corning’s 10u Little League all-star team used an eight-run fourth inning to rally for a 14-11 win over Lakeshore in the opening game of sectionals.

Lakeshore scored five in the second and led 7-0 in the top of the third and 11-4 in the top of the fourth.

CPPLL had four in the third, eight in the fourth and two in the fifth. 

Vaust Fusco had two hits, with a double, and three runs scored and Kamden Dillon had a pair of hits, with a double, three RBI and a run scored.

Michael Spaulding had two hits, with a double, three RBI and two runs scored.

River Dunkleberger had two hits and Colton Peiffer had a hit, an RBI and a pair of runs scored and Grayson Putney had a hit, an RBI and two runs scored.

Ryan Hesch had a hit and Evelyn Miller had a hit and a run scored, while Easton Grover scored a run. Tate Williams scored a pair of runs.

Spaulding got two outs, one by strikeout and Williams got two outs, both by strikeout.

Wyatt Hunter got two outs and Peiffer worked 3 1/3 innings, striking out three, while Miller got two outs, with a strikeout.

Cooper Upfold had two hits, five RBI and two runs scored for Lakeshore and Everett Morgan had two hits, with a double, and two RBI. 

CPPLL plays again at 1 p.m. Sunday.
