CORNING HAWKS HOLD SENIOR SPORTS AWARDS (17 PHOTOS) (June 9, 2026)

CORNING — The Corning Hawks held their senior sports awards Monday night at the high school field house gymnasium. 

Dylan Brewster got the Dana Eckel Memorial Award for football. 

The Wineglass Marathon Scholarship awards went to Hadley Murray, Cella McLaughlin, Adrian Blouin and Freddie Collins,w while the Wineglass Spirit of Community Scholarship went to Lydia Chung, Nicole Miller and Dean Simmons.

The Lacrosse Alumni Scholarships went to Mike Lutton for the boys and Christina Peet for the girls. 

The James Kosty Memorial Award went to Toni Johnston.

The Ernie Davis Project Excellence Award went to Lezlie Scudder and the Ernie Davis ‘Martin Hartigan’ Award went to Evelyn Starns. 

The FOREVER2SIX Billy Lowe Memorial Scholarship went to Teigen Gill.

The George Bacillus Award in conjunction with the CPP Sports Hall of Fame went to Cella McLaughlin, Matti Johnston, Joe Fucito and Clayton Smith.

The Robert Twas Thompson Memorial Awards went to Kyler Stevenson and Melina Schwesinger.

The David Streeten Memorial Award went to Casey Barrett, while the CPP Hawks Sports Booster Robert Crandall Perseverance Award went to Taylor Freelove. 

The CPP Hawks Sports Roster Award in memory of Shelly McGannon went to Olivia Martinec and Kyler Stevenson. 

The Randy Naylor Memorial Award went to Noah Hutter.

The Director’s Awards, for three-sport athletes, went to Sebastian Boutwell, Brewster, Ryan Calkins, Thomas Caruso, Logan Durand, Nicholas Ferratella, Bryce Hammond, Brady Johnston, Liam Krebs, Jeffrey Lanphear, Martinec, Amanda McEwen, Kaylee Scolaro, Hailey Slocum, Clayton Smith, Madeline Sweet, Grayson Timmons, Teagan Walsh, Charles Warner and Bradyn Zimmerman.
