SECTION 4 GIRLS' LACROSSE: CORNING FALLS TO ITHACA IN SECTION FINAL (12 PHOTOS) (May 29, 2026)

HORSEHEADS — The Corning Hawks fell behind early and weren’t able to recover as they fell to Ithaca 18-9 in the Section 4, Class A final on Friday night. 

Ithaca led 6-2 after one quarter and 10-4 at the half on their way to the title. 

Brynna Walsh had five goals and an assist for Corning in the loss. 

Aubrey Rose had a goal and two assists for the Hawks and Kennedy Driscoll, Roni Nevins and Christina Peet all had goals for the Hawks. 

Emma Bates had six goals and an assist for Ithaca and Ava Fontaine finished with four goals and four assists. 

Skyla Lee-Burns had three goals and an assists and Sage Bliss finished with two goals and two assists. 

Natalie Wagner and Sophia Compacho both had a goal and an assist for Ithaca and Taylor Kerber finished with a goal.

Karina Swarthout had four saves for Corning and Leslie Scudder finished with two saves.

Hailey June finished with three saves for Ithaca. 

Corning had 18 draw controls, while Ithaca finished with 12.
