IAC BOYS' GOLF: WHEELER HAS 7TH PLACE FINISH, ND TAKES 5TH AS A TEAM (11 PHOTOS) (May 26, 2026)

HORSEHEADS — Ethan Wheeler had a seventh-place finish, as the Notre Dame boys’ golf team finished fifth at the IAC Championships at Soaring Eagles Golf Course on Tuesday. 

The Crusaders top-scoring golfer this year Liam Ward was unable to finish his round due to injury. 

The Crusaders finished at 411. Lansing won at 320. 

Wheeler shot a round of 88. Dylan O’toole shot a round of 99 to tie for 16th. 

Jacob Steed shot a 102 and was 20th and Archer Choi tied for 38th with a round of 122. 

Notre Dame won the IAC boys’ golf large-school south division title this year with an undefeated, 6-0 record. They were 9-1 overall. 

Wheeler won the IAC senior academic Marty Connor Award for four-year accumulated grade-point average. Jacob Steed took second in the category. 

Ward was a first-team IAC all-star. Steed, Dylan O’Toole and Wheeler were all named second-team all-stars.
