IAC TRACK AND FIELD: EDISON, ND WRAP UP ACTION AT IAC CHAMPIONSHIPS (17 PHOTOS) (May 21, 2026)
Southern Tier Sports ReportTRUMANSBURG — The Edison and Notre Dame track and field teams wrapped up action at the IAC Track and Field Championships on Thursday.
Edison’s boys took third in their division at 64 points with Notre Dame eighth at 21.
Edison’s girls were seventh in the division at 38 points with Notre Dame eighth at 31.
In the girls’ 3000 Madison Hubschmitt was fifth in the division in 12:21.13 and Madison Palmieri of Edison was ninth in 14:38.66.
Gavin Meier was third in the boys’ 3200 in the division in 10:34.68, which was third fastest overall in the field. Edison’s Carson Balash was ninth in 11:31.76 followed by teammate Jeremiah Hubschmitt in 11:40.67.
Lauren Coseo of Notre Dame was fifth in the 800 in 2:37.64 and Cassandra Osgood of Edison was 10th in 2:53.14.
Jameson Duggan of Edison was third in the 800 in 2:08.16. Burke Hilgindorf of Notre Dame was 10th in 2:19.52.
Coseo was seventh in the 1500 in 5:33.72 with Madison Hubschmitt ninth in 6:00.04.
Meier was third in the 1600 in 4:55.38.
Hannah Lasko was second in the division the 200 in 25.97, and second overall, and Maci McWhorter of Notre Dame was ninth in 30.26.
Edison’s boys were third in the 3200 relay in 8:58.93.
Jaxon Brewster of Edison was eighth in the shot put at 31-feet, 5-inches and Lillian Moore of Notre Dame was third in the girls’ shot at 27-feet, 1/2-inches.
Mark Cornacchio of Edison was ninth in the triple jump at 34-feet, 9-inches. For the girls Eleanor Green of Notre Dame was second in the division, and second overall, at 33-feet, 3 1/4-inches. Notre Dame’s Charleigh Ripley was fifth at 29-feet, 10-inches.
Connor Lasko of Edison was third in the 200 in 24.04.
Landon Baumgardner was 10th in the discus at 92-feet, 3-inches. Rebecca Haralson was sixth in the girls’ discus at 69-feet, 10-inches with Moore seventh at 64-feet, 11-inches. Miley Mitchell of Notre Dame was 10th at 57-feet, 5-inches.
Notre Dame’s girls were fourth in the 400 relay in 56.96 and Edison was fourth for the boys in 46.71.
Melania Cheplick of Edison was seventh in the 400 hurdles in 1:19.45. Augustus Ector was second in the boys’ 400 hurdles, both in the division and overall, in 59.20.
