SECTION 4 TRACK AND FIELD: ELMIRA BOYS AND GIRLS NOTCH WINS OVER HORSEHEADS AND OWEGO (24 PHOTOS) (May 12, 2026)

ELMIRA — The Elmira boys and girls track and field teams each picked up wins over Horseheads and Owego on Tuesday night.

For the girls Elmira had a score of 88, Horseheads had 42 and Owego 30. On the boys side it was Elmira with 70, to 64 for Horseheads and 42 for Owego.

For the girls in the 100 Stella Palladino of Owego won in 12.26 followed by Elmira’s Selena Rollins (12.72) and Serenity Rollins (12.78).

Palladino won the 200 in 26.68 followed by Selena Rollins (26.96) and Anais Dailey of Elmira (27.53).

Sophie Shutter of Horseheads won the 400 in 1:03.76 followed by Elmira’s Arrianna Jones (1:03.77) and Alexis Storch (1:04.72).

Addie Fenton of Elmira won the 800 in 2:33.26 with teammate Madelyn Wise third in 2:40.95.

Owego’s Jaelyn Chrysler won the 1500 in 5:08.19 followed by Wise (5:30.19) and Avery Howarth of Horseheads (5:35.25).

Howarth won the 3000 in 13:35.52 followed by Elmira’s Millie Kiersten (13:39.31) and Stella Harrison of Horseheads (13:51.08).

Naudia Inness of Elmira won the 100 hurdles in 17.87 followed by Horseheads’ Ella Chalk (20.58) and Vanessa White (22.87).

Elmira’s Azavyanna Morgan won the 400 hurdles in 1:14.52.

Nakia Folett, Erykah Gilmore, Chloe Hubbard and Storch won the 400 relay for Elmira in 54.38. 

Mallory Duff, Kiersten, Fenton and Wise won the 166 relay in 4:44.79 and in the 3200 relay Wise, Molly Doran, Fenton and Inness won in 10:58.65. 

Inness won the high jump at 4-feet, 6-inches and in the long jump Elly Bachert of Horseheads won at 15-feet, 11 1/4-inches followed by Serenity Rollins at 15-feet, 9-inches and Madison Bancroft of Horseheads at 15-feet, 5-inches.

Bachert won the triple jump at 33-feet, 10-inches followed by Bancroft (31-feet, 5-inches) and Nadia Zeba of Elmira (31-fee,t 3-inches).

Leilani Nick of Elmira won the shot at 29-feet, 4-inches followed by teammate Verneece Sumner (25-feet, 6-inches) and Lindsey Davis of Horseheads (23-feet, 3-inches).

Nick won the discus at 81-feet, 3-inches followed by Sumner (72-feet, 4-inches) and Aniciya Chely of Elmira (69-feet).

In the boys’ 100 Zeri’Miah Wilson of Elmira won in 11.77 followed by Horseheads’ Christian Thomas (11.82) and Liam Morrisey (11.89). 

Chase Luangsuwan of Horseheads won the 200 in 23.34 followed by Wilson (23.93) and Carver Robbins of Horseheads (24.16). 

Patrick Laney of Horseheads won the 400 in 50.69 followed by teammates Tyler Sherry (51.56) and Robbins (52.71). 

James Lovell of Elmira won the 800 in 2:12.27 and Matthias Carpenter of Elmira was third in 2:16.37.

Nicholas Kowal of Horseheads won the 1600 in 4:43.85 followed by Lovell (4:44.23) and Allen Wetmore of Horseheads (4:49.94).

Kowal won the 3200 in 10:53.01 followed by teammate Jack Sydlansky (10:53.39) and Wetmore (10:59.29). 

Brady Senko of Owego won the 110 hurdles in 16.64 followed by Elmira’s Dayne Bush (17.98) and Benjamin Marshall (18.44).

Senko won the 400 hurdles in 1:02.87 followed by Marshall (1:03.28) and Marc Dorcin of Elmira in 1:07.42.

Morrissey, Laney, Luangsuwan and Baraka Schmidt of Horseheads won the 400 relaying 43.77 and in the 3200 relay Lovell, Carpenter, Chase Smith and Gianni Page of Elmira won in 9:00..32.

Drew Clearwater of Elmira won the high jump at 5-feet, 10-inches followed by teammates Darien Coprew and Darien Harris both at 5-feet, 6-inches. 

Robert Curley of Owego won the pole vault at 9-feet, followed by Horseheads’ Michael Gavin (9-feet) and Elliot Snedecor (8-feet, 6-inches).

John-Charles Walton of Elmira won the long jump at 20-feet, 1 1/2-inches followed by Schmidt (19-feet, 7 1/2-inches) and Smith (19-feet, 2 1/4-inches).

Smith won the triple jump at 42-feet, 1/2-inches, Charles-Walton (40-feet, 11 1/2-inches) and Michael Gavin of Horseheads (36-feet, 8 1/2-inches).

Dylan Davis of Owego won the shot put at 43-feet, 9-inches followed by Brogan McLaughlin of Horseheads (37-feet, 1-inch) and Lorenzo Claudio of Elmira at 36-feet, 3-inches).

Davis won the discus at 139-feet, 11-inches and McLaughlin was third at 100-feet, 9-inches.
