STAC BOYS' LACROSSE: HORSEHEADS RALLIES FOR VICTORY OVER ELMIRA (24 PHOTOS)(May 12, 2026) Southern Tier Sports Report HORSEHEADS — The Horseheads Blue Raiders boys’ lacrosse team rallied for a 10-7 victory over Elmira on Tuesday night.
Elmira led 4-0 after one quarter and went up 5-0 in the game. Elmira went up 6-2 in the final seconds of the half, but Horseheads scored late to cut the deficit to 6-3.
In the third Horseheads outscored Elmira 6-1 and they outscored the Express 7-1 in the second half.
Brogan Sullivan had two goals and four assists and Seamus Lynch had four goals.
Owen Johnson had a pair of goals and an assist and Zack Bennett had a goal and an assist, while Boe Briggs had a goal.
Briggs was 20-for-21 on face-offs and Ben Potter had six saves in goal.
“We did not start the way I would have liked, but I am proud of our boys and coaches for making adjustments at the half,” Horseheads coach Jason Neubauer said. “Good luck to Elmira in the postseason.”
Ryen Ferraro had a goal and two assists for Elmira and Avrye Traugott-Knoll, DJ Noonan and Noah Hughes all had two goals. Arius Bradbury had an assist for Elmira.
Liam Ogden had 12 saves in goal for Elmira. Kaelan Brenen-Buseck won one face-off for Elmira and Jason Shoemaker also took five face-offs.
