IAC SOFTBALL: EDISON FALLS TO WG/O-M FOR IAC SOUTH LARGE-SCHOOL TITLE (May 12, 2026)

WATKINS GLEN — The Edison softball team fell to Watkins Glen/Odessa-Montour 8-5 on Tuesday as Watkins won the IAC South Large School title. 

WG/O-M led 3-0 after one inning. The Spartans got within 3-1 in the second, but WG/O-M had four in the third and a run in the fourth to go up 8-1 before the Spartans scored four in the fifth to get back into the game. 

Aurora Parlo had two hits, with a double, an RBI and a run scored and Kayla Rossi had two hits, with a double, two RBI and a run scored. 

Hailey Clark had a hit and an RBI and Carissa Cowan and Rosie Wheeler each had a hit and a run scored in the game. Tayler Burdick scored a run for the Spartans. 

Clark pitched an inning and Parlo worked five innings in relief, striking out two.
