STAC BASEBALL: BALL STRIKES OUT 14 ON THE MOUND, DOANE HAS GO-AHEAD HIT AS HORSEHEADS TOPS JC (May 11, 2026)

JOHNSON CITY — Cooper Ball allowed two hits, striking out 14 as Horseheads baseball beat Johnson City 7-2.

Ball allowed no earned runs in the complete game win as the Blue Raiders clinched the STAC West crown. 

Horseheads scored five in the seventh to get the win.

The Blue Raiders led 2-0 after one inning, but Johnson City scored a pair of unearned run sin the sixth to tie things. 

Beckett Doane hit a pinch-hit go-ahead RBI in the seventh.

Keagan Monahan had a two-run double and Lyncoln Bennett had a two-run single. Ball and AJ Sheehan had hits.

Sheehan scored two runs and Monahan also had two runs, Doane, Chase Mashanic and Mason Markle each scored runs.
