STAC BASEBALL: ELMIRA SCORES LATE TO TOP CORNING, 6-0 (24 PHOTOS)(May 4, 2026) Southern Tier Sports Report ELIRA — The Elmira baseball team got a run in the fifth and five more in the sixth as they beat Corning 6-0 on Monday night.
Frankie D’Angelo doubled and scored for the go-ahead fun in the fifth.
Jackson Cavalier threw a four-hit shutout for Elmira with six strikeouts.
D’Angelo had two hits, with a double, two RBI and two runs scored and Quinn Hanrahan had a double, an RBI and a run scored.
Aedan Palmer, Logan Demember, Aiden Ranck Dom Ellis and Jeremy Mahon all had hits in the game. Ranck and Brock Carr each scored runs in the game. Ryan Mathews had an RBI for Elmira.
Andrew Welch struck out five in 5 2/3 innings and Preston Miller got the last out for Corning.
