Southern Tier Sports ReportELMIRA — The Elmira girls’ golf team was edged by Moravia and Watkins Glen on Friday, while Emma Steed of Notre Dame earned medalist honors.
Steed, who was the only Notre Dame golfer on the day, shot a 47.
Elmira shot 239, Moravia was at 233, and Watkins Glen won at 228.
Mary Collins led Elmira with a 55 and Hannah Reynolds shot a 57. Kiersten Oakley shot a 62 and Jayden Mann had a round of 65. Layla Campanelli shot a 68 and Allyssa Murphy shot a round of 71.
Watkins got a 48 from Emily Melvney and Anna Franzese shot a 49. Kenzie Fish had a 59 and Callie Tohifjan shot a 72.
Peyton Wright shot a 52 for Moravia, Caroline Wasileski shot a 54 and Kendall Hess had a 58, while Chloe Rusaw shot a 69.
