SECTION 4 BOYS' LACROSSE: HOHLE HAS 10-POINT GAME AS ND/WG TOPS OWEGO (April 28, 2026)
Southern Tier Sports ReportSOUTHPORT — Sam Hohle had a 10-point night to help lead Notre Dame/Watkins Glen to a 17-11 win over Owego on Tuesday night.
“A great turnaround game tonight for us after a tough outing last Friday vs. Whitney Point,” ND/WG coach Geoff Crossley said. “The team came out and worked hard in every aspect of the game and the final results showed. A complete team effort from facoeffs with Garrett Kone, Callum Biers and Liam McCloy going 22-of-32. Team also combined for 51 ground balls. Our great close defense was headed up by Mathis Dehecq, Louis Barber and Luka Clark and great LSM play by Dominic Capriccio with 10 ground balls.
“We needed a game like tonight to get back on track and get momentum heading to the rest of the week when we have three games in a row starting Thursday night. Scoring was great all around and it shows when we have 15 assists on 17 goals.”
Hohle had six goals and four assists and Finn Schweizer had four goals and three assists.
Landon English had four goals and an assist and Liam McCloy had two goals and three assists. Matt Keough had a goal and two assists and Kone and Chris O’Brien each had an assist.
Declan Barry had 10 saves in goal.
