SECTION 4 TRACK AND FIELD: ELMIRA GIRLS PICK UP VICTORY AT ITHACA (April 28, 2026)

ITHACA — The Elmira girls’ track and field team picked up a 91-41 win over Ithaca on Tuesday, while the boys fell to Ithaca 96-44. 

Elmira’s Madelyn Wise won the 3000 in 12:20.71 followed by Millie Kierst in 13:26.99.

In the boys’ 3200 James Lovell was third in 10:41.05. 

In the girls’ discus Leilani Nick won at 74-feet, 11 1/4-inches followed by Verneece Sumner (72-feet, 5 1/2-inches) and Alana Brink (61-feet, 4 1/2-inches). 

Chase Smith was second in the long jump at 19-feet, 8 1/4-inches followed by John-Charles Walton at 18-feet, 2 3/4-inches.

Walton won the triple jump at 37-feet, 9 1/2-inches followed by Bryson Williams at 37-feet, 6-inches. 

Sumner won the shot put at 28-feet, 10-inches followed by Nick at 27-feet, 2 3/4-inches. 

Serenity Rollins was second in the long jump at 15-feet, 7 3/4-inches and in the high jump Selena Rollins won at 4-feet, 8-inches followed by Azavyanna Morgan (4-feet) and Paityn Walburn (3-feet, 10-inches).

Naudia Inness was second in the triple jump at 31-feet, 11-inches and in the 100 hurdles Selana Rollins won at 18.03 followed by Inness (18.18).

Elmira won the girls’ 3200 relay in 11:22.36 and in the boys’ 3200 relay the Express won in 9:23.36. Dayne Bush won the 110 hurdles in 19.69.

Serenity Rollins won the 100 in 13.71 followed by Anaïs Dailey in 14.03 and Chloe Hubbard in 14.52. 

Molly Doran were second in the 1500 in 5:41.75 followed by Walburn in 6:31.14. 

Lovell won the 1600 in 4:54.33 and in the girls’ 400 Jazae Watkins-White won in 1:06.18 followed by Arrianna Jones in 1:06.81.

Smith won the boys’ 400 in 54.46 followed by Darien Harris in 54.92. 

Benjamin Marshall was second in the 400 hurdles in 1:05.71 while Morgan won the girls’ 400 hurdles in 1:14.59. 

Addie Fenton was second in the 800 in 2:38.81. Matthias Carpenter was second in the boys’ 800 in 2:22.15 followed by Garrett Palmieri in 2:23.99. 

Selena Rollins won the 200 in 27.81 followed by Serenity Rollins (28.24) and Dailey (28.36). Darien Harris was third in the boys’ 200 in 24.54.
