STAC BOYS' LACROSSE: CORNING FINISHES STRONG IN WIN OVER HORSEHEADS (April 24, 2026)
Southern Tier Sports ReportHORSEHEADS — The Corning boys’ lacrosse team picked up a 14-11 win over Horseheads on Friday as Kohl Hogue and Dylan Brewster each scored five goals.
Hogue had five goals and three assists and Brewster had the five goals.
Parker Chapel had two goals and four assists and Clayton Smith had a goal and an assist.
Bradyn Zimmerman had a goal and Joe Fucito and Ashton Neatly each finished with assists.
Landyn Proudfoot finished with 14 saves in goal for Corning.
“Great game, we jumped out early, but Horseheads fought back in the third to make it 11-10 and was really proud our kids responded with three straight to end the game,” Corning coach Chris Hogue said. “Both teams fought hard and played well.”
Boe Briggs had four goals for Horseheads and Brogan Sullivan and Seamus Lynch each had two goals and an assist.
Keenan McCarthy had a goal and an assist and Zack Bennett and Colin Phillips each had goals for the Blue Raiders.
Ben Potter had 11 saves for Horseheads.
Briggs was 22-for-27 on face-offs for Horseheads.
“The boys showed our potential with the way they fought back after halftime,” Horseheads coach Jason Neubauer said. “I thought both teas played hard tonight. Good luck to Corning moving forward.”
Horseheads is at Ithaca on Monday.
