STAC BASEBALL: ELMIRA USES FIVE-RUN FOURTH TO TOP ITHACA (April 22, 2026)
Southern Tier Sports ReportELMIRA — The Elmira Express scored five runs in the fourth inning to top Ithaca 9-5 on Wednesday night.
Elmira scored two in each of the first two innings, but Ithaca got a run in the first, two in the second and a run In the third and the game was tied at four going into the fourth. The Express had the big inning, before Ithaca got one run back in the top of the fifth.
Logan Demember had two hits, with a double, two RBI and two runs scored and Aedan Palmer had two hits, an RBI and two runs scored.
Ryan Matthews had two hits, with a double, and a run scored and Jackson Cavalier had a hit and two RBI.
Quinn harrahan and Dom Ellis each had a hit and scored a run and Logan Palmer had a hit, while Owen Smith scored a run.
Demember worked three innings on the mound, striking out four and Cavalier worked four innings of relief, allowing four hits and one run, striking out four.
