SECTION 4 BASEBALL: HORSEHEADS HITS TWO HOMERS AS THEY WIN AT CORNING (April 21, 2026)

CORNING — The Horseheads baseball team picked up a 13-1 win over Corning on Tuesday afternoon.

Cooper Ball allowed two hits and one run in five innings,, striking out one. Chase Mashanic pitched an inning in relief, allowing a hit and striking out one. 

Ball hit a three-run home run in the game and AJ Sheehan hit a two-run home run. 

Ball had two hits, four RBI and a run scored and Sheehan had two hits, two RbI and three runs scored.

Lyncoln Bennett had two hits and an RBI and Hunter Matkosky and Dmitri Charlanow each had a hit and scored two runs.

Mason Markle had a hit and scored a run and Keagan Monahan had a hit, three RBI and a run scored. 

Carson Bell and Beckett Diane each scored runs in the game. 

Landen Speciale, Nate Bretch and Jay Richards had hits for Corning with Bretch scoring the Hawks run.

Bretch struck out one in two innings and Jack Dunning struck out two in three innings. Jake Page worked one inning.
