SECTION 4 BASEBALL: ELMIRA FALLS BEHIND EARLY IN LOSS TO ITHACA (April 21, 2026)
Southern Tier Sports ReportITHACA — The Elmira baseball team fell behind early in a 9-3 loss at Ithaca on Tuesday afternoon.
The Little Red scored four in the first and five in the fourth on their way to the win.
Logan Demember had a double and scored two Elmira runs. Aedan Palmer had a hit and two RBI and Logan Palmer had a hit.
Jeremy Manon scored a run for Elmira.
Ryan Matthews struck out two in 2 1/3 innings and Carter Sherman struck out two in 1 1/3 innings, while Owen Smith threw 2 1/3 innings of two-hit, shutout ball, striking out two.
