SECTION 4 BOYS' TENNIS: CORNING NOTCHES WIN OVER JOHNSON CITY (April 21, 2026)

CORNING — The Corning Hawks boys’ tennis team picked up a 7-0 win over Johnson City on Tuesday night. 

In first singles Derek Guo won 6-1, 6-2 over Zachary Ray and at second singles Jose Manuel Umanzor won 6-0, 6-1 over Zachary Taylot. 

In third singles Ethan Smith won 6-3, 6-1 over Suleman Muhammad and at fourth singles Alec Myrick won 6-3, 6-1 over Nathaniel Morse. 

In first doubles Riley Rosenbarker and Erik Shanchuk won 6-1, 6-0 over Muhammad Faisel and Muhammed Ibrahim.
