SECTION 4 BOYS' LACROSSE: HORSEHEADS PICKS UP HOME WIN OVER M-E (April 7, 2026)
Southern Tier Sports ReportHORSEHEADS — The Horseheads boys’ lacrosse team moved to 3-2 on the year with a 13-6 win over previously unbeaten Maine-Endwell.
Horseheads led 3-0 after one quarter and scored seven in the second to go up 10-1 at the half.
Zac Bennett and Joe Briggs each had three goals for Horseheads.
Brogan Sullivan had a goal and two assists and Keenan McCarthy had two goals.
Owen Johanson had a goal and an assist and Liam Kelly, Kyle Ernst and Colin Phillips each had goals, while Andrew Fedele had an assist.
Ben Potter had 11 saves and Graham Thompson had three saves.
Briggs was 17-for-21 on face-offs for Horseheads.
DeClan Grace had two goals and an assist for Maine-Endwell and Anthony Maione had a goal and an assist.
Zachary Battaglini, Gavin Baxter and Finnegan Grace all had goals, while Christopher Greco had an assist.
“I’m really proud of the work the boys have been putting in,” Horseheads coach Jason Neubauer said. “I thought it showed tonight with our effort on defense and having nine players contribute to the scoring. Good luck to M-E the rest of the way.”
Horseheads is at Spencerport on Thursday.
