IAC SOFTBALL: SIXTH INNING THE DIFFERENCE AS ND FALLS TO WHITNEY POINT (April 6, 2026)

SOUTHPORT — The Notre Dame softball team saw Whitney Point scored four runs in the sixth to break open a tie as the Crusaders fell 7-3 on Monday.

Whitney Point scored two in the second to lead early, but the Crusaders tied the game in the fourth, before Whitney Point won it in the sixth.

Danasia Thompkins had a double, an RBI and a run scored for Notre Dame and Kayleigh Ayers had a hit and cscored a run.

Layla Sullivan struck out eight allowing seven runs, just one earned in the game.
