HIGH SCHOOL TRACK AND FIELD: CORNING GIRLS WIN MOLLY DRY INVITE, BOYS TAKE 2ND (April 4, 2026)

MANSFIELD — The Corning girls track and field team won the titles at the Molly Dry Invitational at Mansfield University. 

The girls had a score of 215, with Wellsboro next at 150.5. For the boys Corning was second at 165.5. Bradford Area won at 219. 

For the boys in the 3200 Corning won in 8:42.66. In the 110 hurdles Ethan Wentzel was second in 15.77 and Joshua Fajardo was seventh in 18.23. 

Nicholas Ferratella won the 1600 in 4:33.18 followed by Sebastian Boutwell in 4:33.36. Andrew Wilkerson was ninth in 5:02.33. 

Connor Harrington was fifth in the 800 in 2:15.12 followed by Coleten Ketchum in 2:17.92. 

Ryan Calkins won the 200 in 23.91 and Liam Krebs was fifth in 25.28. 

Elijah Sumner won the 3200 in 10:51.90 with Andrew Miller fourth in 10:52.74 followed by Thomas VanSlyke (11:23.30) and Isaac Ho (11:28.13).

Corning was third in the 1600 relay in 3:41.36 and Achille Gallois was seventh in the high jump at 5-feet, 4-inches.

Maxwell Jennings won the pole vault at 13-feet, 6-inches followed by Wentzel at 13-feet. Harrington was seventh at 8-feet, 6-inches and Connoer Calkins was eighth at the same height.

Austin Curreri was fourth in the shot put at 40-feet, 5-inches and Kai Huttleston was fourth in the discus at 120-feet, 7-inches. 

Jacob Deneeka was fifth in the long jump at 18-feet, 1 3/4-inches. 

Fajardo was third in the triple jump at 39-fee,t 9-inches and Dwayne Gardiner was fifth at 37-feet, 8-inches. 

Ashtyn Stark won the 2000 steeplechase at 6:38.90 and Jennings was second in the javelin at 142-feet.

Reese Conway was ninth in the girls’ javelin at 76-feet, 2 1/4-inches and in the 2000 steeplechase Liesel Despain won in 8:23.40 followed by Kaitlyn Lee at 9:05.59. 

Cella McLaughlin won the 100 hurdles in 17.31 followed by Clare McLaughlin at 17.85. Cella ran a 14.25 in the prelims. 

Brooklyn Gordon was fifth in the 100 in 13.47 and the Hawks won the 3200 relay in 10:28.85. 

Katelyn Dininny was second in the 1600 in 5:34.95 followed by Gabriella Hurd (5:44.59) and Bella Martinec (5:45.88). 

The Hawks took sixth in the 400 relay in 58.08.

Chinonyerem Okoro was second in the 400 in 1:03.08 with Aurora Jellif sixth in 1:05.65. Aubrey Scott was 10th in 1:10.30. 

Claire Devlin was second in the 300 hurdles in 50.84 and Amanda McEwen was sixth in 54.05. 

Abigail Wagner was second in the 800 in 2:36.50 and Madison Rose was ninth in 2:52.28. 

Devlin was second in the 200 in 27.16 and Gordon was fifth in 28.07 with Okoro seventh in 29.06 and Clare McLaughlin ninth in 29.25. 

Olivia Martinec won the 3200 in 12:20.18 and Kai Bronfenbrenner was sixth n 13:04.14 and Deuerlein was eighth in 13:39.22. 

Corning took sixth in the 1600 relay in 5:11.62 and Okoro was third in the high jump at 4-feet, 6-inches with Hurd eighth at 4-feet, 4-inches.

Conway won the pole vault at 10-feet and Lauren Williams was second at 8-feet. 

Samantha Harvey was sixth in the shot put at 28-feet, 7-inches and Layla Byzitter was eighth at 26-feet, 2 3/4-inches followed by Kailee Davis at 26-feet. 

Harvey was second in the discus at 103-feet, 2-inches and Grace Kio was fourth in 92-feet, 1-inch followed by Byzitter (86-feet, 10-inches). Davis was eighth at 76-feet, 11-inches. 

Devlin won the long jump at 16-feet, 6 1/4-inches. McEwen won the triple jump at 33-feet, 3-inches followed by Scott at 32-feet, 8 1/2-inches. Neha Parasuram was 10th at 26-feet, 1-inch.

Calkins was sixth in the 300 hurdles in 47.72. Corning was fifth in the 400 relay in 49.34.
