BCANY BOYS' BASKETBALL: PROUDFOOT NAMED AAA BCANY PLAYER OF THE YEAR, ALL FIVE STARTERS MAKE ALL-STAR TEAM, JOHNSTON JR. COACH OF THE YEAR (April 2, 2026)

All five Corning starters made the BCANY Section IV boys’ basketball all-star team, with Nolyn Proudfoot earning the AAA player of the year honors and Mike Johnston Jr. earning coach of the year honors.

The other players of the year are Allan Eagles of Seton Catholic in AA and Marco Konrad of Maine-Endwell in A. Lincoln Raab of Forks is the Class B player of the year and Trumansburg’s Arlo Peake is the Class C player and Braymon Clark of Edmeston is the Class D player of the year. 

The other coaches of the year are Tommy Dempsey of Seton Catholic in AA and Bill Ocker of M-E in A. Nate Ford of Forks is the Class B coach, Nate Thomas of Candor is the coach of the year in C and Darren Belden of Edmeston is the Class D coach.

The first-team includes Corning’s Proudfoot, Kyler Stevenson and Carter Proudfoot. The rest of the team is Konrad and Preston Ocker of M-E and Britten Zeh and Brady Carr of Oneonta; Eagles, Brian Dempsey, Liam Kozel and Malik Wimberly of Seton Catholic;  Waverly’s Hogan Shaw; U-E’s Joe Gennarelli; Shawn Remplet of Binghamton and Jacob Foster of Candor. 

Corning’s Kohl Hogue and Teigen Gill are on the second team with Binghamton’s Jah-Lon Cook and Elijah Johnson.

M-E’s Luca Konrad is on the second team with Trumansburg’s Arlo Peake and Norwich’s Kassen Stubb and Aiden young.

Seton Catholic’s Angelo O’Conner; Johnson City’s Finesse Morales; Vestal’s Alex Scully; Forks’ Lincoln Saab; U-E’s Andrew Williams; Edmeston’s Braymon Clark; Porter Daddona of Waverly and Ryan Murphy of Morris are on the second team.
