STAC BASEBALL: HORSEHEADS ROLLS TO ROAD WIN OVER VESTAL (March 30, 2026)

VESTAL — The Horseheads baseball team moved to 2-0 on the year with a 15-1 win over Vestal on Monday afternoon. 

Mason Markle allowed three hits and a run in 4 2/3 innings, striking out six and Chase Masonic struck out one and allowed a hit in 1 1/3 innings.

Dmitri Charlanow had a three-run home run in the game. 

Kegan Monahan had three hits, an RBI and two runs scored and AJ Sheehan had two hits, two RBI and a run scored. Monahan had a double. 

Cooper Ball had two hits, two RBI and two runs scored, with a double in the game. 

Lyncoln Bennett scored two runs and Hunter Matkosky had an RbI and a run scored.

Markle had a 3-for-3 day with a double, two RBI and two runs scored and Carson Bell had a double, two RBI and a run scored and Ryan Cicciarelli had a hit and scored a run.

Masonic and Ryan Weigand each scored a run and Ben Torgalski had a hit and an RBI. 

The Blue Raiders trailed 1-0 after the first inning and tied things in the third. They scored three in the fourth, eighth in the fifth and three in the sixth.
