SECTION 4 BOYS' LACROSSE: HORSEHEADS BOYS FALL TO ITHACA (March 27, 2026)

HORSEHEADS — The Horseheads boys’ lacrosse team fell to Ithaca 8-2 on Friday night. 

Ithaca scored a goal in the first and two in the second to lead 3-0 at the half.

Horseheads had two in the third, but Ithaca had three in the third and two in the fourth.

Isaac Lee-Byrnes had two goals and an assist for Ithaca and Quinten Getzen had two goals.

Hainhw’anjyana:when Shenandoah had two goals. Lee Milton and Reginald Browne had goals and Jack Barton and Leland Walker had assists.

Thomas Howley had 16 saves in goal for Ithaca. 

Getzen won three face-offs. 

Owen Johnson and Liam Kelly had the Horseheads goals and Brogan Sullivan had an assist. Ben Potter had nine saves in goal and Boe Briggs was 10-for-13 on face-offs.

“Congrats to Ithaca on the win,” Horseheads coach Jason Neubauer said. “It is a long season and we are looking forward to continuing to improve over the course of the season. The boys showed a lot of heart tonight.”

Horseheads hosts Vestal on Tuesday.
