SECTION 4 BOYS' TENNIS: HORSEHEADS GETS WIN AT 2ND SINGLES AS THEY FALL TO ITHACA IN OPENER (March 24, 2026)

HORSEHEADS — Horseheads got a win at second doubles, but fell to Ithaca 6-1 in their season opener.

Joe Wood and Jacob Nah had a three-set win over Take Karate and Ian Moore for Horseheads at second doubles, 6-2, 4-6, 6-3. 

In first singles Ithaca’s Henry Bopp won 6-2, 6-2 over Dom Wood and at second singles Jonah Jacobstein won 6-0, 6-2 over Horseheads’ Joe Juan at second singles. 

In third singles Brian Pate of Ithaca won 6-1, 6-0 over Lincoln Choe and at fourth singles Luke Flores of Ithaca won 6-1, 5-7, 1-0 (10-5) over Ketu Patel. 

In first doubles Simon Crane and Aaron Martinez won 6-4, 6-2 over OJ Bhushan and Christian Scibeck of Horseheads.

In third doubles Luke Hwang and Chilean Sethupathay of Ithaca won 6-4, 6-4 over Max Doty and Mark Mendez.
