COLLEGE BASEBALL: HORSEHEADS GRAD PROCOPIO HITS THREE HOMERS IN LENOIR-RHYNE WIN (March 23, 2026)

Horseheads graduate Matt Procopio hit three home runs on Saturday for Lenoir-Rhyne in an 11-1 win over Coker.

The Horseheads grad hit a three run shot in the third, a solo shot in the fifth and a two-run homer in the sixth. 

Procopio also had an eight-game hit streak that ended in the first game of the doubleheader on Saturday, when he walked two times. 

Procopio is hitting .418 with a .496 on-base this season. He has a 1.200 ops on the season. He has seven home runs, five doubles, a triple, 30 runs scored and 33 RBI. The Horseheads graduate has more walks this year (12) than strikeouts (9). 

Procopio leads the team in batting average, is tied for second in home runs, leads in RBI and runs scored and leads in on-base percentage.
