COLLEGE BOWLING: LOCAL BOWLERS STEFANINI AND RENNELLS EARN TRIP TO COLLEGIATE NATIONALS (March 17, 2026)

Horseheads graduate Michael Rennells and Corning graduate Camryn Stefanini are headed to college bowling nationals. 

In the individual competition Stefanini, who transferred to Clarke University from Midland prior to the year produced a top-eight finish with a score of 1,301 to tie for seventh among the almost 300 collegiate bowlers in the field.

Stefanini’s performances earned him the Heart Newcomer of the Year selection and a trip to the individual national championship.

The Corning grad got stronger as the day went on. He rolled 182 and 172 the first two games, then never under 222 over the next four with a 232-222-225 and closing things out with a 268, which tied for the second-best individual game score of the top-eight qualifiers individually. 

Spring Arbor finished fourth with Rennells as part of the team at the 2026 Intercollegiate team championships sectional qualifier to make nationals. Clarke finished 18th as a team. 

Spring Arbor shot 13,263. They were 202 pins above fifth place. They were 135 pins out of third place. 

NAIA Nationals start this weekend and the Intercollegiate Team and Singles Championships are April 14-18.
