“We fought, we played hard until the very end,” Corning coach William Condon said. “It didn’t turn out the way we wanted it to. We are young. We have been riding the roller coaster all year. Wee have had a lot of ups and a lot of downs. I think this is a wonderful experience for our young guys and the future is very bright for us. I know that we wanted to place, we wanted to win, but it diddn’t happen that way. The experiene is invaluable for us. I am excited to see what is going to happen for us. We’ll be back.”
The Hawks shot 922, 930 and 1,137 in the first three games for a 2,989, then 890, 942 and 940 for a 2,774 in the final three games.

Max Aponte shot 177-178-213-568 and 150-148-182-480. Aponte finished 38th.
“Chase Kizis really stepped up for us, especially in the state qualifiers to get us here,” Condon said. “Bentley Goodier has been fantastic all year long, Jack Duning, they all did (great). The guys that really surprised us are the guys who have been subbing in and out, Chase or Keegan Palmer and they all fought really hard. I wouldn’t say there was one person that really stood out, I’d just say everyone stepped up because they all wanted it.”
