NYSPHSAA BOYS' BASKETBALL: ND EDGED BY COOPERSTOWN IN REGIONAL FINAL (March 15, 2026)

ONONDAGA — The Notre Dame boys’ basketball team had a chance to win the game late, but came up just short as they fell to Cooperstown 60-57 in the NYSPHAA Class C regional final.

Down one at 58-57 the Crusaders turned it over on the sideline inbounds pass and Cooperstown brought an end to the Notre Dame season.

“Extremely proud of this group, especially this senior group,” Notre Dame coach Nick Weirmiller said. “They relly rallied together this past year and especially this post season and even there late in the second half I think we got down nine and they fought back and we had a chance there at the end.

“Just an awesome group of young men that I really enjoyed coaching and being around.”

‘Rocco Sayers had 15 points for the Crusaders, seven in the second quarter and six in the third.

Landon English had 13 points and Max O’Connor had 11, while Finn Schweizer finished with 10 points. 

Mike Sutryk finished with six points for Notre Dame. and Skoon Jenkins had two points.
