SECTION 4 GIRLS' LACROSSE: HORSEHEADS BEGINS PRACTICES TO PREP FOR SEASON (12 PHOTOS)(March 12, 2026) Southern Tier Sports Report HORSEHEADS — With nice weather to start the week it was a perfect way for the Horseheads girls’ lacrosse team to kick off practices for the new season.
“It feels great,” Horseheads coach Jenn Guzylak said. “Especially with the weather. We have a good number of girls this year and we are excited to be back on the field.”
The energy for the Blue Raiders was high coming into the season, and the weather only helped that.
“We have been doing lots of open gyms this winter and lots of girls have been coming to the, so they already have their energy and enthusiasm up,” Guzylak said. “But, the weather certanily helps with that.”
This is an experienced Blue Raiders team that’s coming into the season.
