COLLEGE SOFTBALL: RIJO HITS 3RD HR OF SEASON, OFF TO STRONG START FOR ARKANSAS (February 23, 2026)

Corning graduate Atalyia Rijo had a home run and two hits, with two runs scored against Northwestern, as she is off to a strong start for Arkansas softball.

Rijo has played 14 games this year, all starts, she has a 1.224 OPS on the year. 

The senior is hitting .375 ont he year with three home runs and 15 RBI on the year. Rijo has a .474 on-base percentage this year. 

Arkansas is 13-1 on the year and ranked 7/8 in the nation. 

Among the wins this year was a 12-0 mercy rule win over No. 18 Clemson on Feb. 13.
