SECTION 4 BOWLING: ELMIRA BOYS AND GIRLS EACH WIN CLASS A TITLES AS GUBLO ROLLS 300 GAME (February 21, 2026)

VESTAL — The Elmira boys and girls bowling teams both brought home the Section IV, Class A Championships this weekend at Midway Lanes.

Alex Gublo had a 300 games and had the best series in the field at 713 to lead the boys. Frankie D’Angelo had the second best series in the field at 672.

Elmira’s boys won with a 2,994 score.

Gublo shot 300-223-190-713 and D’Angelo shot 213-246-213-672. Logan Card shot 201-212-203-616.

Landon Shaddock shot 149-187-195-531 and Peyton Rozelle had a 159-140-163-462. 

Elmira shot a 1,022, 1,008 and 964 for the 2,994. 

For the girls Elmira won with a 2,456 score. Abbi Hink led Elmira with the second-best series at 561, while Maddy Wasicki had the highest game in the field with a 220 and Madi Smith and Hank had the third best game with a 203.

Elmira’s girls shot 781, 904 and 771 for the 2,456. HInk shot 189-169-203 and Wasicki had a 162-220-169-551, while Smith shot 177-203-139-519. Izzy Stanley shot 141-158-136-435, while Evaya Gardner shot 112-154-124-390.
