STAC BOYS' BASKETBALL: CORNING STAYS PERFECT, MOVES INTO STAC FINAL (24 PHOTOS) (February 19, 2026)
Southern Tier Sports ReportCORNING — The Corning boys’ basketball team moved into the STAC final as they stayed unbeaten with a 69-51 win over Oneonta on Thursday.
Corning, ranked 17th in the state in AAA, moved to 19-0 on the year with the win over 15-4 Oneonta, ranked 15th in Class A.
The Hawks led 36-24 at the half, and 57-37 after three quarters on their way to the win.
Kyler Stevenson led Corning with 22 points, six boards and three assists and Carter Proudfoot had 20 points, five boards, four assists and three steals.
Nolyn Proudfoot had 13 points, with five boards, two assists and two steals and Kohl Hogue had six points, four assists and four rebounds.
Joe Fucito and Teigen Gill each had four points, with Gill recording four assists, three rebounds and a steal and Fucito notching two rebounds.
Brady Carr led Oneonta with 33 points, going 14-for-21 from the field in the game.
Corning takes on Seton Catholic in the final at a time to be determined on Saturday in Corning.
