STAC GIRLS' BASKETBALL: FORKS RALLIES TO TOP HORSEHEADS IN STAC SEMIS (February 19, 2026)

HORSEHEADS — The Horseheads girls’ basketball team was edged by Chenango Forks in the STAC semfiinals on Thursday, 52-49.

Forks rallied from a 35-26 deficit after three quarters to get the win.

Horseheads led 16-9 after one quarter and 25-15 at the half.

The Blue Raiders were up 35-26 after three quarters, before Forks outscored the Blue Raiders 26-14 in the fourth to pick up the win.

Maddie Ribble had 14 points and Samantha Bonnell finished with 13 for Horseheads.

Giana Hughey had nine points and Maggie Tremaine had eight for the Blue Raiders. 

Lexi Lese finished with three points and Sadie Gustin had two points. 

Maggie Warpus and Jordyn Erickson-Heehus had 18 points each for Forks. 

The two combined for 17 in the fourth. Reagan Hughes had two threes in the fourth for Forks.
