IAC GIRLS' BASKETBALL: EDISON GIRLS TOP SAYRE FOR 2ND STRAIGHT WIN (24 PHOTOS)(February 11, 2026) Southern Tier Sports Report ELMIRA HEIGHTS — The Edison girls’ basketball team got 25 points from Mali Huffner in a 54-25 win over Sayre (Pa.) on Wednesday night.
For the Spartans it’s a second straight win. They led 14-2 to start the game and 20-9 after one quarter, and then held Sayre to nine second-half points in the victory.
Huffner had 10 points in the opening quarter, with a pair of threes, and she had nine points in the third quarter.
Teresa Carter had 10 points for the Spartans and Addison Vendzules had six points, while Mattison Brush finished with five points.
Taylor Burdick, Hailey Clark, Cammy Hoffmann and Maddie Morrison all finished with two points in the win.
Rylee Lantz had 21 of the 25 points for Sayre. She had nine points in the opening quarter. --------
