STAC GIRLS' BASKETBALL: ELMIRA PICKS UP WIN OVER BINGHAMTON (February 10, 2026)
Southern Tier Sports Report ELMIRA — The Elmira Express girls’ basketball team picked up a home victory over Binghamton on Tuesday, 57-32.
“This was probably our most complete game of the season,” Elmira coach A’Don Allen said. “Defensively, we were locked in from start to finish, and offensively, we moved the ball well and played unselfishley. It was a true team win.
“Just as important, the energy, and focus from the girls over the last few games has been fantastic. That’s a great sign as we continue to build momentum heading into March and the postseason. Proud of the way this group is coming together at the right time.”
Mariah Matias led Elmira with 18 points, 14 in the first half. Meya Smith had 12 points and Avery McCauley and Zhamir Harris each finished with six points.
Ava Roberts, Abbi Valicanti and Anna Osborne all had four points for Elmira and King finished with three points.
