STAC BOYS' BASKETBALL: PROUDFOOT SCORES 41 AS CORNING TOPS HORSEHEADS TO STAY PERFECT (24 PHOTOS) (February 7, 2026)
Southern Tier Sports ReportHORSEHEADS — The Corning Hawks picked up a 90-53 win over Horseheads on Saturday to move to 17-0 on the year.
On the Blue Raiders senior night the Hawks, ranked 24th in Class AAA in the state, the Hawks led 22-10 after one quarter and 50-22 at the half.
Nolyn Proudfoot had 41 points, all in the first three quarters. He had 26 at the half. He finished the game 16-for-16 from the free throw line and had nine rebounds, an assist and two steals.
Proudfoot has 198 points in the past five games, averaging just under 40 a game in that span.
Arda Derman had 10 points, three rebounds, two assists, two blocked shots and a steal.
Kohl Hogue had seven points, six assists, a steal and three boards and Carter Proudfoot had six points, three assists, three boards and a steal.
Joe Fucito had six points and eight rebounds, with a steal, and Kyler Stevenson finished with five points, three rebounds, two steals and an assist.
Cooper Bange, Teigen Gill and Dylan Brewster all had four points. Bange had there steals, an assist and a board and Gill had two assists and a rebound. Brester had a rebound.
Hudson Wright had three points.
Preston Harmer had 14 points and Keagan Zeller had nine points to lead Horseheads.
Elijah Miller had eight points and Lyncoln Bennett and Bryce Thomas each had five points, while Jack Starbuck and Naji Macklin each had three points. Miller had seven boards and Bennett had six.
Ben Torgalski, Max Heck and Jahvier Meisner had two points each.
Corning hosts Wellsville at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday on senior night.
