STAC BOYS' BASKETBALL: CORNING USES BIG SECOND HALF TO TOP U-E AND MOVE TO 16-0 ON THE SEASON (24 PHOTOS) (February 4, 2026)

HORSEHEADS — The Corning Hawks moved to 16-0 on the year as they used a big second-half to top Union-Endicott 81-63 on Wednesday night.

Corning led 20-18 after one quarter and 36-35 at the half, before the Hawks outscored the Tigers 27-12 in the third in the win.

Nolyn Proudfoot had 38 points and nine rebounds, with four steals and two assists in the win. Proudfoot has scored 157 points in the past four games, putting up nearly 40 a game in that span. 

Proudfoot was 15-for-26 from the field and 6-for-7 from the free throw line. 

Kyler Stevenson and Carter Proudfoot each finished with 13 points for the Hawks. Stevenson had seven rebounds, three steals and an assist and Proudfoot had five boards, three assists and a steal. 

Kohl Hogue had a double-double with 12 points and 10 assists, along with six boards. Teigen Gill had five points, four rebounds, three assists and a steal. Dylan Brewster had four rebounds. Hogue has 43 assists in the past four games, with three double-digit games in that stretch. 

Joseph Gennarelli Jr. had 20 points to lead U-E. 

Corning, ranked 24th in Class AAA in the state, plays at Horseheads on Saturday with a 6:45 p.m. varsity start.
